A chimney with Roto-Draft damper, internal damper and two smoke-diffusing charcoal trays give you hands-on control of heat and smoke.
Best for: Weekend pitmasters who want a true offset with 500 sq. in. of primary space for ribs, pork shoulders and chicken without the larger Regal 500 footprint.
The Broil King Regal 400 charcoal offset smoker is built from 2 mm (14 gauge) steel, with heavy-duty cast iron grids in the main chamber and a chimney-style stack topped by a Roto-Draft damper. Dual-purpose charcoal trays diffuse smoke across the cooking area, and stainless steel ash trays remove from both chambers.
Pick this model if you want authentic stick-and-charcoal barbecue but have a smaller patio or cook for fewer people. Add fuel through the steel access doors, adjust the internal damper to steer heat, and use the removable front shelf with tool hooks for prep. Two 8" wheels and leg levelers help with positioning.
