The Old Country BBQ Pits Generation 2 is an offset smoker built around an insulated firebox, with 2" of mineral wool between steel shells to keep the fire steady and efficient. A ¼" carbon steel cook chamber, removable baffle and two slide-out grates totaling 1,047 sq. in. make it approachable for newer pitmasters and dependable for experienced ones.
Best for: Backyard pitmasters who want stick-burner flavor with easier, steadier fire control.
The Old Country BBQ Pits original insulated firebox offset BBQ smoker
After years of building traditional single-wall offset BBQ smokers, we knew there had to be a better way to manage fire and temperature. Fire control should be simple, consistent, and accessible—especially for newer pitmasters learning the craft.
From the beginning, we understood the performance advantages of insulated fireboxes. However, in the past, this upgrade was often only available through custom builders at a significant added cost on top of an already expensive smoker.
That’s why we focused on building a better solution at an honest, accessible price.
The Old Country BBQ Pits G2 Commercial Offset Smoker is designed to deliver improved temperature stability, efficient fire management, and easier learning for beginners. For experienced pitmasters, it provides clean burns, steady heat, and reliable, competition-quality barbecue every time.
